Safecraft Named Official Fire Suppression System of SVRA

Leader in Motorsports Fire Suppression Latest in Growing List of SVRA Sponsors

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) announced today that Safecraft, a top brand in fire suppression systems for motorsports, marine, aviation and industrial vehicle applications is the latest industry leader to invest in the country’s fastest-growing road racing series in 2017. Safecraft systems are already installed in over 25,000 NASCAR, NHRA, SCCA off-road and NASA vehicles.

“The SVRA’s number one priority is the safety of our drivers and teams. That’s job one because without it, we have nothing. This agreement with Safecraft is at the core of that continuous improvement commitment to our members,” said Tony Parella, SVRA president and CEO. “I also think this announcement demonstrates that quality companies like Safecraft recognize our commitment to grow the business of vintage racing and create opportunity for our members, investors and partners.”

The Safecraft investment is the latest in a steady stream of top business, consumer and automotive brands to recognize the value of the SVRA’s demographics and the exposure of a national platform. Other top brands partnering with America’s premier vintage racing organization include Jaguar, Land Rover, NetJets, Zenith Watch, Robert Talbott, Hoosier Tire and TRITEC.

“We are proud to expand and formalize our relationship with the SVRA and their car owners,” said Pat O’Keefe, Safecraft president and CEO. “The SVRA is a fast growing business and we can meet their needs as the largest manufacturer of vehicle fire suppression systems in the United States.”

SVRA officials report consistent annual triple-digit growth since 2012. The sport has rapidly grown from a regional activity largely concentrated in the southeastern United States to one that spans the continent at most of America’s top race courses. Just since the beginning of the year it has expanded its schedule to include its first hill climb near the legendary “Tail of the Dragon” roadway in Western North Carolina as well as an exciting new oval track format for its two-weekend extravaganza at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Additional sponsorship announcements will be shared in the coming two weeks.
